1. Acceptance of the Member Compact
Welcome to TapMeOnline. By creating an account, accessing our website (tapmeonline.com), or using any of our mobile and web applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to every provision of these Terms, you may not access or use TapMeOnline.
2. Eligibility & Verification
To register for an account or use TapMeOnline, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be at least 18 years of age. We do not permit minors on the platform.
- You must authenticate using a verified phone number or an active OAuth account (Google, Microsoft, or Meta).
- You must not have been previously suspended or banned from TapMeOnline for violations of safety or community standards.
- You must not be prohibited from using dating services under applicable federal, state, or international laws.
3. The Slow-Dating Rules of Engagement
TapMeOnline operates under strict architectural guardrails designed to eliminate addictive gambling mechanics and encourage presence:
- 12 Horizons at Sunrise: You will be presented with at most 12 curated matches per calendar day. There is no endless catalog, swipe deck, or pay-to-boost tier.
- 6 Shoulder Taps per Day: You may send up to 6 intentional taps per 24 hours. Taps represent a polite gesture across a quiet room; once your 6 taps are cast, you are encouraged to close the app.
- Maximum 3 Photos: All member profiles are strictly capped at 3 authentic, unedited photos. Professional studio shoots with misleading retouching or AI-generated portraits are strictly prohibited.
4. Progressive Disclosure & Media Sharing
By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that profile visibility is governed by our 3-Tap Progressive Unblur System:
- In the Daily Horizon, all portraits are rendered in a privacy-preserving silhouette.
- Photographic clarity deepens only through mutual engagement and mutual shoulder taps.
- Non-Consensual Distribution Prohibited: You agree never to screenshot, capture, publish, or redistribute unblurred photos or private reflection notes of other members without their explicit written consent. Violations result in immediate hardware-level termination and referral to appropriate legal authorities.
5. Seasonal Memberships, Subscriptions & Sabbatical Time Vault
TapMeOnline offers transparent, fixed-duration seasonal subscriptions designed to help you meet your partner within an intentional season:
- 1-Month Pass ($18 / month): Auto-renews every 30 days unless paused or cancelled. Includes a 2-Month (60-day) Sabbatical Time Vault.
- 3-Month "One Season" Pass ($45 / 3 months): Auto-renews every 90 days (strictly maximum 3 months / season). Includes a 6-Month (180-day) Sabbatical Time Vault.
When you enter Sabbatical (whether solo for personal wellness or together with a partner), your active subscription billing and auto-renewal are immediately paused with zero charges while in the vault. Usage before freezing is calculated in fair 10-day tiers:
- 1 to 10 active days used: Counted as 10 days billed • 20 paid days banked in Time Vault
- 11 to 20 active days used: Counted as 20 days billed • 10 paid days banked in Time Vault
- 21 to 31 active days used: Counted as 1 full month billed • 0 days banked (or remaining months banked on a 3-month pass)
Next Billing Date Recalculation: Upon unpausing from Sabbatical, your remaining banked days run first. Your next auto-renewal billing date is pushed forward into the future to the exact day when your remaining banked days run out: Next Renewal Date = Unpause Date + Remaining Banked Days. You are not billed a single cent until all of your banked days have been fully consumed.
Vault Expiry Extinguishes Auto-Renewal (Anti-Zombie Billing Guarantee): For both 1-Month passes (60-day vault limit) and 3-Month passes (180-day vault limit), allowing the Sabbatical Time Vault duration to fully elapse without unpausing permanently voids and cancels any active auto-renewal authorization. Your subscription will NOT renew and $0 will be charged. We never trap you in hidden recurring fees after an absence.
Proactive Transparency Notification Commitment (T-6 & T-3 Cadence): We transmit clear, unhurried notifications to you six (6) days and three (3) days prior to the expiration of your Sabbatical Time Vault or the renewal/expiration of your subscription. These notices explicitly confirm your active status (auto-renewal vs. non-renewal), upcoming billing amount, or safe $0 expiration, giving you ample time to pause, resume, or modify your membership with zero surprises.
Long-Term Inactivity & Sensitive Data Minimization: Accounts remaining idle for extended periods are formally tagged as Sabbatical: Not Online for Long and immediately removed from all Daily Horizon pools. To protect your personal privacy, all uploaded photos, portraits, saved voice recordings/audio intros, and exact physical street addresses are automatically and permanently deleted from cloud storage after 1 year of inactivity. What stays: Your name, OAuth login credentials, verified email, coarse city/state/zip location, and written bio reflections remain safely preserved so you can log back in seamlessly whenever you wish to return.
6. Community Dignity & Prohibited Conduct
You agree to treat all members with dignity. You expressly agree that you will NOT:
- Harass, intimidate, stalk, defame, or solicit any member.
- Upload abusive, sexually explicit, hate-inciting, or deceptive content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, or occupation.
- Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from TapMeOnline.
- Promote commercial products, escort services, financial schemes, or external links.
TapMeOnline reserves the right to investigate and terminate any account that violates these standards with zero refund.
7. Third-Party Authentication (Google, Microsoft, Meta)
If you sign in via Google, Microsoft, or Meta, you are subject to both these Terms and the respective terms of the identity provider. We are not responsible for account suspensions or credential issues originating on third-party provider platforms.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
TapMeOnline provides an algorithmic matching and pacing tool. We do not guarantee romantic success, compatibility, or specific meeting outcomes. You are solely responsible for your interactions and meetings with other members in the physical world. We encourage all members to exercise standard real-world safety precautions (e.g., meeting in public venues and notifying trusted friends).
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPMEONLINE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL TAPMEONLINE INC. BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
9. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
